A Comparative Study on the Anatomical Characteristics of Acacia mangium and Acacia hybrid Grown in Vietnam

This study aimed to investigate and compare the qualitative quantitative anatomical characteristics of Acacia mangium hybrid in plantation forests Vietnam. The were evaluated according International Association Wood Anatomists list microscopic features for hardwood identification. In terms features, A. had a rough, hard, fissured bark surface with golden brown dark color, whereas smooth slightly scaly greenish greyish yellowish white pale spots. Moreover, heartwood–sapwood color both species identical. higher values tangential diameter vessel lumina, per square millimeter, ray number fiber length, wall thickness than hybrid, height lumen mangium.
